I read several positive reviews on the BluStrategy website and was inspired to schedule a consultation. Despite Amanda being late for our consultation call, I felt the conversation went well and that she understand what I wanted to see changed on my website. I signed the agreement and paid the fee. That was a huge mistake on my part, as Amanda missed the deadline for the first draft. When I reviewed the changes she made, two of the key components that we discussed during my consultation were presented in direct contrast with what I requested. I provided written feedback to her and she presented a 2nd draft shortly thereafter. It was as if she did not listen or pay attention to any of the feedback that I provided. Even worse, it appeared as though she had rushed to throw something together just to prove that she had worked on my project. It was not the work of a professional marketing person, but more akin to what a student might produce when first starting out. I was beyond disappointed by what I saw. I am patient, but I am not one to waste time-either my own nor that of anyone else. I communicated to Amanda that we were clearly not on the same page and I thought it was best if we parted ways and that I would like my money refunded. She replied that the contract states that the money is non-refundable because of the time she put into working on the website, and she would like to have another conversation and continue to work on the project until I was satisfied. I declined to continue working with her because she was clearly incapable of producing the end product I desired. If you completely miss the mark not once, but twice after receiving detailed written feedback, there is no reason to waste more time. I ended up figuring out how to make the changes on my own with less than 2 full days worth of effort, but I was out $550. Amanda's refusal to refund my payment demonstrates poor customer service on her part. If it were my business, and a client communicated that they were completely dissatisfied with the service or product, I would offer my sincere apologies with a full refund. If you are considering using the services of BluStrategy to create or redesign your website, I strongly urge you to reconsider and research other options.
